Rev. Raymond Drew McPeek, age 71 of Rural Retreat, VA went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Steubenville, OH on December 19, 1951 the son of the late Raymond Theodore McPeek and Helen Louise Grice McPeek.  He was a retired United Methodist Church minister and had retired from the US Army, Signor Corp.

He is survived by:

His children:                  Raymond Drew McPeek, II  of Christiansburg, VA

Isaac Samuel McPeek (Amy) of Barnesville, OH

Christopher Timothy McPeek of Rural Retreat, VA

Grandchildren:             Joshua Levi McPeek, Ian Arlin McPeek

Sisters:                           Victoria Louise McPeek        of Rochester, NY

Antonette Rae Cotturone  (Pat)  of Suffolk, VA

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will held 10:00 AM Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Rural Retreat Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Vanover officiating.  Interment will follow with Full Military Rites at 1:00 P.M. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, VA. 24084.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.
