Rebecca Lynn Mercer Blevins, age 63 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away, Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born, November 10, 1958 in Newport News VA, she was the daughter of Everett Frank Mercer and the late Nancy Clyburn Mercer.

Becky was a loving mom, dedicated to her family and dogs. She loved Christmas, and most all holidays. She had a knack for interior decorating; and loved outdoor gardening, the beach, and special day dates with her husband. She touched the lives of many people and loved her special fur babies, Buddy, Oden, and Raider.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Clyburn Mercer.

Survivors include, her husband of forty-three years, Gale Blevins of Rural Retreat VA, son, Joshua Monroe Blevins and wife Crystal of Rural Retreat VA, step grandchildren, Clay and Jacob Hagy,  father, Everett "Beets" Mercer of Atkins VA, brother Dale Mercer and wife Melissa of Rural Retreat VA,  sister, Vickie Dixon of Atkins VA, brothers- in- law and sisters- in -law, Wanda and Ray Stowers  of Rural Retreat VA, Larry and Donna Blevins of Rural Retreat VA, Connie and Skeeter Wright of King N.C., and Doug Harden of  Rural Retreat VA, and many Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 7 P.M. at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel in Rural Retreat VA, with Pastor David Medley officiating.

Friends may call Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel in Rural Retreat VA.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shop Wythe a Cop in care of the Wythe County Sheriff's office.
