Rebecca Williams, 79, of Wytheville VA, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday June 17, 2024. Born July 8, 1944, in Wythe County VA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus H. Horton and Effie Smythers Horton.

She Liked Gardening and spending time with her grandchildren She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy. The Williams family would like to express their gratitude for the care provided by Mountain Valley hospice in Galax In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Phyillis Rhoads, Lisa Horton, brothers, Rufus "Buddy" Horton Jr, Charles Horton.

Survivors include, her husband William Alton of the home,  sons Timothy A. Williams of Wytheville VA, Keith Z. Williams and wife Brittany of Max Meadows VA, seven Grandchildren, Scout Williams of Roanoke VA, Cheyenne Williams of Bent Mountain VA, Ruger Williams of Newport News VA, Cherokee Williams of Rocky Gap VA, Elijah, Grace, and Noah Williams all of Max Meadows VA, brother Lincoln Horton of Poplar Camp VA, special cousin and friend, Maxine Pickett.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy at Jackson Chapel in Wytheville VA; with Pastor Barry Ayers officiating; burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. at Church of God of Prophecy at Jackson Chapel in Wytheville VA
