Rhett Myles
Shelton
January 29, 2024 – July 8, 2025
Rhett Myles Shelton unexpectedly left this world and went to be in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 where we will one day see him again.
Born to his loving parents, Nathan and Jasmine Shelton, in Christiansburg, Virginia on January 29th, 2024, his life was short but full of so much love and joy. He loved singing silly songs, watching Bluey, and playing with anything and everything he could get into. He was a loving big brother to the newly arrived Austin Cole.
Rhett was born to explore, and found fascination in anything he could reach while climbing. He was never found without a snack, ball, car or toy dinosaur in hand. Sometimes called Rhettasaurus Rex, dinosaurs were a feature of Rhett's young life and he roared with laughter in the presence of his loved ones.
We love him dearly, and cannot understand why his life was so short, but we are comforted by the knowledge that he lived big while he shared his beautiful life with us. We will not say goodbye to him, because we know one day we will hold him in our arms again to reunite the love, laughter, and joy he so naturally brought to us.
Rhett is survived by his parents, Nathan and Jasmine Shelton; infant brother, Austin Shelton; paternal Nana Jennifer Prouty; maternal grandparents, Mammie, Amy & Grandpa Dusty Haney and Pawpaw Robert & Gamgam Dana Dolinger; Paternal great grand parents, Jack and Robin Emmert; Maternal great grandmother Momma Duck Elaine Dolinger; Godmother Autumn Stump; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family & friends who loved him dearly.
A private visitation has been arranged with a public service to follow for all those who wish to attend at 2pm on Monday, July 14th at the Highland Bland Funeral Chapel located at 530 Main Street, Bland, Virginia 24315 with fellowship to follow the service.
