Richard Wayne Fielder, age 65, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Wythe Co., VA on April 19, 1952 the son of the late Garrett Wade Fielder and Katherine Elizabeth Powell Fielder.  He was preceded in death by his wife Pamela Kay Widener Fielder; sisters-in-law, Debbie Burris, Sharon Cassell and a nephew, Larry Chance Pruitt.

He is survived by a brother, Michael R. Fielder and wife Brenda of Bristol, VA; sister, Wanda C. Pruitt and husband Larry of Wytheville, VA; mother-in-law, Lera Widener; sister-in-law, Karen Jones and husband Ronnie all of Rural Retreat; brother-in-law, Bryan K. Cassell of Max Meadows, VA; nieces and nephews, Russell, Kenny, Lisa, Kevin, Tony, Kevin, Kim, Lexi, Andrew; several great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Ginger also survive.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kelly Marshall officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.  A committal service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.   The family requests that those who prefer may make memorials to the American Heart Association.
