Richard Allen Thomas, age 53, of Martinsburg, WV passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born July 21, 1971 in Fredrick, MD and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert "Jiggs" Thomas; grandmother, Virginia Lucille Scott Thomas Richardson; and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his mother, Rita Faye Thomas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close, special friends including Tim Simmons and Mike Clatterbuck and Tom Claxton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Barnett Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery, 980 Walton Furnace Road, Max Meadows, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to organizations that sponsor suicide prevention.
