Robert Lee Snavely, Jr., age 85, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was born August 13, 1931 in Wythe County, the son of the late Robert Lee Snavely, Sr. and Lillian Quesenberrry Snavely and was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Verlie Ratcliffe Snavely. He is survived by his children, Veta and Dennis Edmonds, Danny R. Snavely, Treva and James Jones, Jr. all of Max Meadows, VA; grandchildren and spouses, Andy and Rose Edmonds, Dustin F. Edmonds, Jodi and Barry Arnold, Leah and Eric Sayers, Larrissa and John Norman, Mike and Cassandra Snavely, David L. Snavely, Jr., Robert and Cindy Snavely; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Casey Kennedy, Beverley Thompson, Jennifer Bennett and Alissa Rathbone. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend J.C. McPeak and Reverend Chris Stansell officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul PHC Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
