Ronald A. Myers "Ronnie" of Austinville, VA died of congestive heart failure on Sunday, September 11, 2022. He was born on February 20, 1954 in Hampton, Virginia to the late Archie and Draxie Newsome Myers of Hampton.

He is survived by his brother, Ernest Myers (Debbie) of Chesapeake, VA; his sister Kathy Warren (Hal) of Hampton; special nephew Joshua Myers; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime companion Gary R. Jones of Austinville.

Ronnie was a thoughtful, generous man, always thinking of others. He graduated from Bethel High School in Hampton where he was elected Student Body President. He had an exciting career at the Musicland  Group as store manager. He could be asked anything about music and he could give a detailed answer. He loved his job; he respected his employees and trained them well. He earned District Manager of the Year award several times as well as Regional Manager of the Year. He also won numerous sales and display contests.

Ronnie was a popular guest at gatherings. He liked to tell funny jokes and made everyone feel special. He continued to entertain people with his wit and knowledge throughout his life.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
