Rose Marie Dean, age 82, of Rural Retreat, VA. passed away early Tuesday February 13, 2024. She was born October 15, 1941 in Bluefield, WV. to the late Rosa Ellen Lindamood Arnold and Claude Roosevelt Arnold. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Billy Dean, several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She liked to do embroidery, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She also loved to be outside and spend time with family.

She is survived by her children Billy Arnold Jr. of Rural Retreat, VA., Sarah Ellen Dailey (Howard) of Georgia, Tina Marie Allison (John Craig, IV) of Wytheville, VA., Karen Leigh Adams of Wytheville, VA., Eric Jordan Arnold (Marion) of Richlands, NC., Christopher Paul Arnold (Heather) of Jacksonville, NC.; 14 Grandchildren;
8 Great Grandchildren (one on the way); and Special Friend Billy Arnold Sr.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Rutherford officiating with interment to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Groseclose, VA. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
