Roy McDowell Dix, 74, of Wytheville VA, passed away, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence.

Born January 13, 1948, in Wytheville VA, he was the son of the late Donald and Margaret Havens Dix.

He was a 1966 graduate of George Wythe High School. He retired from the U.S. Navy with 24 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Moose Riders.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include, one son Shawn Dix of Milton FL, two brothers Donald Dix Jr and Wife Debbie of Bluefield WV, Michael Dix and wife Linda of Wytheville VA, one sister Renita Creen and husband Tom of Ormond Beach FL, several Nieces and Nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the East End United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, VA.
