Roy Franklin Dunford, age 77, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born February 1, 1946 in Wythe County, the son of the late Ernest W. and Elizabeth Brinkley Dunford. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Pamela Alford, three brothers and one sister.

Roy was a United States Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Emily "Susie" Dunford; five daughters, Jena and Joseph Williams, Donna Camper, Robin Jones, Dreama and Steve Rash, Rebecca and Allen Irvin. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Crigger officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
