Ruby Marie Cox, age 96, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1929 in Wythe County, Va to the late Truby Atwell and Bertha Gullion. She was preceded by her husband James Frank Cox Sr.; daughters Rhonda Gail Jones, Linda Darlene Cox; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by son James F. Cox Jr.; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and special friend Evelina Leedy and Jeff Leedy.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at Lindsey Funeral Home with Rev. J.R. Gilman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
