Ruby Jane Umberger Jones, age 91, wife of the late George K. Jones, Sr. passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 after a long battle with Covid and related illnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon George Umberger and Amanda Jane Dunagan Umberger; brothers, George L. Umberger and Alfred Umberger; her sister, Louella U. Stuart and niece, Pam S. Buckland.

Survivors include her sons, George Kelly Jones, Jr., Tony C. Jones and daughter-in-law, Vanessa H. Jones; grandchildren, Bradley S. Jones and Lindsey Rhea Harless; great-grandsons, Grayson A. Jones and Oliver (Ollie) F. Harless. Survivors also include her first cousins, Stella Mae Wheeling, Andrew Humphreys, Jr, Cecil Palmer and Jimmy Palmer and her niece, Debbie S. Sitterson. Numerous second cousins and her dear friend, Phyllis Viars also survive.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery with the Reverend Roger Crigger officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home.
