Sandra B. Hoosier, age 60, a lifelong resident of Bastian, VA passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Bluefield, WV on March 24, 1957 the daughter of the late Harold C. Bivens and Doris Jean Hill Bivens.  Sandra was a member of the Wytheville Seventh Day Adventist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Bivens.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bill Hoosier; children, Billy Hoosier and fiance' Kris Voit of Haymarket, VA, Christine Hoosier of Bastian; favorite child and pet, Ellie; brother, Larry C. Bivens and wife Debbie of Pulaski, VA; several sisters-in-law and spouses; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Highland Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Cox officiating with a graveside committal service to be held to follow 11 A.M. Sunday in the Rosehill Cemetery in Bastian.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.   Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the Rosehill Cemetery Fund.
