Sara Marie McLaughlin Burchett, age 57, of Wytheville, VA passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones after her long battle with breast cancer. She was born February 19, 1966 in Smyth County, daughter of the late Thomas Melton McLaughlin and Georgia Testerman McLaughlin.

Survivors include her fiancé, Kelly G. Jones and his children, Evelyn Renae Woods and John Paul Jones and wife Natalie and their children, Mila, Aria and Harrison; Sara's children, Amber Hubble, Kelli Ferguson Gurnitz, Abigail Burchett and Katlyn Burchett; sisters and brother, Cindy McLaughlin, Nippie McLaughlin and David McLaughlin; special niece and nephew, Ashley and Isaiah Reid.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Marion, VA with the Reverend J.C. McPeak officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
