Shelby Jean Billings Sage, age 89, of Wytheville, VA passed away Friday, June 12, 2026. She was born May 3, 1937 in Squire, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Alma Atwood Billings and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis “Nub” Sage.

Survivors include her daughter, Alicia Sage-Huff and Mike Huff; her son, Robert D. Sage; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Sage, Ashley Huff and Trent Galloway, Ally Huff and Brandon Cain, and Michael Huff; great-grandson, Aiden Sage; 4 sisters, Freda Baldwin, Juanita Mitchell, Janice Johnson (also her special caregiver) and Nadine Barnett; a brother, Ronnie and Marie Billings; a special great-nephew, Myles Coley.

Funeral services are private. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Sage family.
