Shelley Rose Stowers, age 36, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at her home in Max Meadows, VA.  She was an employee of Volvo Trucks in Dublin, VA.

She was born December 4, 1980 and was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara G. Stowers.  Survivors include her father Fred H. Stowers of Max Meadows, VA, and her brother Adam J. Stowers of the Stoney Fork Community in Wytheville, VA.  Many extended family members also survive.

Shelley had a natural talent for art, and she enjoyed drawing especially intricate architectural and graphic designs.  She further improved her skills by obtaining a CAD Degree from Wytheville Community College, where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.  She also liked playing her video games, and was a fan of the Harry Potter character.

Her sudden tragic death came as an unbelievable shock to her family and friends.  She will be sadly be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at a memorial gathering at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat, VA on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.   There will be no other services.
