Sherry Lynn Asbury Jones, age 64, of Wytheville, VA passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026. She was born February 2, 1962 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Albert Lee Asbury and Virginia Ratcliff Asbury. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Michelle Hudson; 2 sisters, Darlene Vaught and Shelby Fisher; and her brother, Gary Asbury.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Kennedy of Ivanhoe; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Kennedy, Kristin Kennedy, Patience Taylor and Zoie Hudson; 2 great-grandchildren, Alex Quesenberry and Jenny Quesenberry; 3 sisters, Shelia Smith of Galax, VA, Linda Nester of Austinville, Kathy and Bill Martin of Meadows of Dan, VA; her brother, Ricky Asbury of Austinville. Many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Maurer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Reese Funeral Home to assist them with funeral expenses.
