Shirley Heldreth Eversole, age 80 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away, Monday, January 29, 2018.  She was born in Gary, WV on May 30, 1937 the daughter of the late Shirley Foster "Buck" Heldreth and Madeline Kinder Heldreth.  Shirley was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James Dillard "J.D." Eversole; a brother, Douglas W. Heldreth and a son-in-law, Kirk Heldreth.

She is survived by a son, Jeffery Eversole of the home; daughter, Laura Heldreth of Wytheville, VA; grandchildren, Matthew Heldreth and wife Shelbie, Chase Heldreth, Brittney Eversole Debord and husband, Michael, great-grandchild, Bennett Heldreth; sister, Jane Vaught and husband Danny, sister-in-law, Eva Heldreth all of Rural Retreat; several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Hamman and Vicar Melissa May officiating.  A committal service will follow 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.  The family requests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
