Stella Brown Hale, age 91, of Wytheville, Virginia passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born January 28, 1933 in Wythe County, daughter of the late James, Sr. and Maggie Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Hale; 5 brothers, James Brown, Jr., Dave Brown, Walter Brown, Robert Brown and Sam Brown; 2 sisters, Isabell Brown and Ida Cook.

Stella was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church in Keystone, WV and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wytheville.

Survivors include her son, Donald Jackson of Wytheville; a sister, Agnes Rogers of Wytheville; special niece, Rita Peoples of Roanoke; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Shelley Kyle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.

Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 6605 New Hope Road, Bluefield, WV. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.highlandfuneralservices.com
