Susan Kay
Blevins
January 3, 1953 – March 1, 2026
In Loving Memory of Susan Kay Blevins ("Granny")
January 3, 1953 – March 1, 2026
Our sweet and loving Susan Kay Blevins, most known as "Granny," walked the road to freedom on March 1, 2026. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and closest friends.
Susan was born on January 3, 1953, in Pearisburg to her loving parents, A. Marie Franklin Brumfield and Charles Phillip Brumfield. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marie and Charles; her devoted husband, Timmy; her beloved pets Stormy, Oscar, Mouse, Noodles, Goldie, and Quackers; and the many other cherished fur and feather babies who filled her home and heart throughout the years.
Left to continue her beautiful legacy are her pride and joy, Chad Parcell and his wife, Kristi; her loving granddaughters and their husbands, Adrian (Zac) and Jaden (Joe); her precious boy, Isaiah; her best and lifelong friends Nancy and Jimmy Wright, Mary and Jerry Stowers, Janet Rash, and Toni Pauley; and her sister, Sharyn (Stanley).
To know Susan was to know light, love, and peace. She fulfilled her life's dream of becoming a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others when they needed her most. Her compassion, gentle spirit, and abundance of kindness touched countless lives.
Susan never met a stranger and never turned away a soul, whether two-legged or four. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, wagging tails, and open arms. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the lives of those still here on earth, forever.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Osborne and Mark Layne officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wythe County Animal Shelter, St. Jude's or your favorite charity.
