Tabitha Anne
Mullis
January 7, 1968 – July 8, 2025
Tabitha Anne Mullis, born January 7, 1968 in Charlotte NC to Warren and Emily Mullis passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on July 8, 2025, surrounded by some loved ones.
Tabitha's fight is over! She fought hard the past 2.5 years to get her health in order to get her own place.
Tabitha loved that little character Stitch mainly because of his words "Ohana", which meant Family.
Family meant everything to Tabitha.
She was a loving genuine person, a force to be reckoned with, she was little but she was feisty. Tabitha never had a problem telling people what she thought, this is one of her best qualities, because she did it out of love. Tabitha enjoyed life. She was an extremely confident woman.
Tabitha was preceded in death by her mom and dad; sister Anne Thompson and sister Beth Mullis.
Survivors include her brothers Blake (Linda) Mullis and James (Theresa) Mullis and a sister Jean (Mike) Cantrell.
Tabitha had a very unique life as she was blessed with 2 families. The one she was raised with and later in life she found her birth father Larry Huffman, Sr. and step mom Pat Pope along with sisters Lisa Huffman, Sherry Huffman, Joni Huffman-Lineberger and brother Larry Huffman, Jr. (Candy). She enjoyed spending time with this part of her life and they loved her unconditionally.
Tabitha enjoyed sermons by Elevation Church. She loved spending time with her siblings, children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by Larry Huffman, Sr. In addition to her siblings, she left 2 sons Christopher Lee (Wanda) Dial and Brandon Lee (Kiera) Mullis, 4 grandchildren and multiple fur babies to cherish her memories. Also, David Wood, a special man in her life the past year.
The family will have a memorial celebration at a later date and as she requested, scatter her ashes in the ocean. However, some will remain with loved ones. If desired you can send donations to the Heart Association or Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers. She will be greatly missed by all that knew or loved her.
Highland Funeral Service was in charge of the cremation.
