Talmer Junior McGee, age 79, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was born July 9, 1944 in Wythe County and was the son of the late James Talmer and Frances Rogers McGee. He was preceded in death by two sons, James McGee and Mitch McGee.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley McGee; a son, Wesley McGee; daughter, Clarissa McGee; two brothers, John McGee and Kenneth McGee; three sisters, Wilma Burkes, Alma Blevins and Jane McGee; seven grandchildren, Craig McGee, Mark McGee, Amber Boren, Amanda McGee, Madi Frye, Jarrett McGee and Blake McGee; twelve great-grandchildren, Kaulin and Cameron Boren, Charlotte, Austin, Hadley and Hayden McGee, Addison McGee, Lyla and Carson Frye, Ashton, Paisley and Walker McGee; best friends, Hody and John.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Danny Helmondollar officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until service time. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
