Teresa Marie Blankenship Woods, age 62, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born December 4, 1963 in Grundy, VA, daughter of the late Larry and Evelue Coleman Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joey Henderson and Larry Henderson, husband James Powell and brother, Teddy Blankenship.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Woods; special son, Jacob Davis; two daughters, Amanda and Larry Thompson and Jillian Powell and a step-daughter, Natasha Woods; four grandchildren, Eladio Thompson, Larry Thompson IV, Emanuel Thompson and Xavier Mooney; and a niece, Melony Blankenship.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Wytheville Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jonathan Hamman officiating.
