Thomas Lynn Stowers, age 53, of Bland, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018.  He was born September 9, 1964 to the late Minor and Frances Stowers.  Tommy had attended Trinity United Methodist Church and loved being a part of the Stowers Shooting Match Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and a cousin Jimmy "Hoover" Burge.

Tommy is survived by his fiancé, Patsy Marlowe of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother, Jerry Stowers and wife, Mary of Bland, VA; two nieces, Tracie Havens and husband, Casey of Rural Retreat, VA and Mandy Harner and husband Patrick of Bland, VA;  two great nieces, Olivia and Lorelei; and two great nephews, Nathan and Kyren; special companion, his dog, Brandy; special friends, Leon Lambert, Mark King, Glen and Kathy Hedrick, and Calvin and Streaker from the Quarry where he worked; a multitude of other friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Highland Bland Funeral Chapel at 7:00 P.M.  Family will receive friends from 5:00 until service time.  Interment will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Old Bethel Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the upkeep of Old Bethel Cemetery.
