Timothy Dale King Jr., age 40 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Monday March 6, 2023.  He was born in Wythe County, VA on April 13, 1982 the son of Timothy Dale King Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Ellison. He was preceded in death by grandparents Jim and Susan Ellison.

Surviving are his children Madelyn King and Mason King of Rural Retreat, VA; parents Beth and Michael Kinder, Tim and Mary Ellen King of Rural Retreat, VA; brothers and sisters, Laura and Travis Rakes of Crockett, VA, Danah and David Lawson of Rural Retreat, VA, Lindsay and Seth Losey of Roanoke, VA, Carmen King of Rural Retreat, VA, Evan King of Rural Retreat, VA, Allison Walker of Rural Retreat, VA; grandparents Clyde and Lucille King of Crockett, VA; a host of sweet nieces and nephews, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Reverend Richard Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening prior to the service. Interment will be Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Rural Retreat High School Varsity Football Program.
