Rev. Timothy Frank McCobin, age 73, of Rural Retreat, VA. passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

He was born in Bristol, VA., on December 02, 1948 the son of the late Frank McCobin and Ruby Morris McCobin.

He was a former pastor of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church and had served churches in the Johnson City, TN area for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan McCobin.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years Rebecca McCobin, granddaughter Baylee McCobin of Elizabethton, TN., a sister Susan Campbell of Jonesborough, TN., nephew Chris Trent and wife Becky and their children Angel and Christopher.

Funeral Services will be held 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church with Rev. David Payne and Rev. Clayton Farmer officiating with a Masonic Memorial Service to follow by Mt. Airy Masonic Lodge #226 AF & AM of Rural Retreat.

Friends may call Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Rural Retreat United Methodist Church from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.

A graveside committal service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday October 31, 2002 at the Eden- Greenwood Church Cemetery in Jonesborough, TN.
