Verna Leedy Worley age 100 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born in Bluefield, WV on November 13, 1925 the daughter of the late Ernest Montgomery Leedy and Mary Time Foglesong Leedy. She was a member of the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Kermit "E. K." Worley, Jr. and siblings, Guy McGhee Leedy (Ruth), Grace Irene Leedy Camper (Nyal), Everett Walter Leedy (Rhea), Hazel Catherine Leedy Templeton (Fay).

Surviving are her daughter & son-in-law, Ann W. and J. Michael Blevins; nieces, Katherine Turner and son, Charlie, Jerilyn Leedy Setser; nephew, Jerry Guy Leedy; several other great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, VA. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
