Virginia F. Vaught, age 95 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born November 3, 1929 in Wythe County, Va to the late Gilbert S. Fisher and Ada Ruth Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Brown Vaught, brother David Fisher, sister Kathryn Overbay Humphreys.

She is survived by her children, Carlin Sue Hounshell and husband James of Salem, VA, Curtis P. Vaught and wife Linda of Rural Retreat; grandchildren, Michelle Bailey fiancée Jarrod Crew, Chad P. Vaught and companion Kim Bilodeau-Colbert, Cameron P. Vaught and wife Terri; great-grandchildren, Carlin Rivera and husband Willy and Blake Bailey, Cana and Chloe Vaught; great -great granddaughter Sophia Rivera; brother,  Don Fisher and wife Shirley;  sister, Mary Frances Kincer; special friend Debbie Debord; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Lindsey Funeral Home in the Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ed Schaack officiating.   Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery (Cedar Springs). The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
