Virginia Cline Sutphin, age 89, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She was born September 15, 1927 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Garland A. Cline and Nelia J. Martin Cline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Quinten O. Sutphin; father of her children, Samuel Ernest Bonham and seven brothers. Virginia was a member of Cedar Hill Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter,   Connie B. Martin and husband Tom of Wytheville, VA; two sons, Sam Bonham of Westminster, SC, Jerry Bonham and wife Peggy of Tallapoosa, GA; three sisters, Helen C. Tickle of Max Meadows, VA, Ethel C. Willard and husband Tex of Darlington, SC and Olivia "Libby" C. Cline of Wytheville, VA; three brothers, William "Bill" Cline and wife Linda of Dublin, VA, Martin Cline and wife Georgia of Wytheville, VA and Randy Cline of Rural Retreat, VA; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home or at the home of Tom and Connie Martin at any time. Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rural Retreat, VA.
