Wanda Lee Sheffey Coe, 88, of Wytheville, passed away at home on October 16, 2022 with her children by her side.  She was born in Wythe County to the late Hugh Pierce, Sr. and Clarice Williams Sheffey.  The baby of the family, she was preceded in death by brothers Roy, Claude, Edward, Hugh Pierce, Thomas, Robert, and sisters Erlene Jackson, Lura Sheffey, Dell Garland, Dora Gillespie, Mary Talbert, and Betty Jean Sheffey.

She is survived by her children Debra Coe Kinder and husband B.J., Shelia Gail Coe Supan, Walter Lloyd "W.L." Coe, Jr. and special friend Regena Umberger, and Lorrie Lee Coe-Meade and husband Bill; grandchildren Ashley Supan, Andrew "Drew" Coe, Daniel Lee Meade; great grandchildren Christian Amaral, Liam Supan-Meredith; sister-in-law Ruth Coe, faithful friend Michele Trantham, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

She married her husband, Walter Lloyd Coe, who predeceased her in 2000 after 49 years of marriage.  Growing up she attended Huddle Memorial United Methodist Church and joined West End United Methodist after marriage and was a member for 69 years.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at Barnett Funeral Home, with a private family interment to follow in the West End Cemetery.  The family will receive extended family one hour prior to service.
