Wayne Alan Billings, age 68, of Wytheville, VA (the Piney community) passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born December 16, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin and Mary Billings and his sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jack Lee.

Wayne served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Camrett Logistics after 20+ years of employment. Some of his best memories were of his time working at the KOA Campground in Wytheville. In his earlier years he worked as a kayaking guide on the New River. Wayne loved watching all sports that were broadcast on TV. He also enjoyed fishing and reading history books.

Wayne is survived by his beloved son, Seth Gibson; his devoted companion, Ann Sisson; his cousin, Stevie Groseclose and his wife Teresa. He is also survived by very dear friends, Keith Groseclose, Jamie Bunyan, Vic Allen and wife Terri.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2026 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with a Memorial service to follow.
