William Arnold Bartleson of Marion, Virginia—known affectionately by family and friends as Bill or "Cornbread"—passed away on February 19, 2026. He was the son of Shirley Bartleson and the late Richard Bartleson.

He dedicated his life to helping others through his work and as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed fishing and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Richard.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his mother, Shirley; his brothers, Richard and Arthur; and his son, Anthony.

The family will receive friends during a Visitation on Sunday, February 22, at 6:00 PM at: Lindsey Funeral Home, 219 Main Street, Rural Retreat, VA

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23, at 10:00 AM at: Rural Retreat United Methodist Church, 503 Church St, Rural Retreat, VA with Pastor David Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
