William Franklin McFarland age 84 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Sunday January 22, 2023.  He was born in Rural Retreat, VA on January 26, 1938 the son of the late Daniel Eba McFarland and Ruby Lee Stowers McFarland.  He was preceded in death three brothers, Elmer McFarland, Roger McFarland , R.D. McFarland; sister, Mary Dell Musser.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Glenna P. McFarland; son Mike McFarland both of Rural Retreat, VA; daughters, Teresa Lynn McFarland of Wytheville, VA, Mechelle McFarland White (Butch) of Pulaski, VA; grandchildren, Mikey McFarland, Kimberly Stamper (Zack); great-grandson, Asher Todd Stamper; sister, Debbie Parks of Rural Retreat, VA.

Due to Mr. McFarland's wishes there will be no public service.
