Willow Faye Aker, 5 months old, of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. She was born perfect and tiny at 3.5 lbs on March 26, 2022 to Codey and Halle (Gamble) Aker. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Larry Groseclose and Charlie & Rachel Aker; and her fur sibling, Josie.

Willow is survived by her great-grandparents, Bonnie Groseclose, Debbie & Bernie Lyons, Donnie Sr. & Katie Gamble, C.H. & Peggy Kelly, and Glenda Mullins; her grandparents, Tracie & Frankie Blevins, Donnie Gamble Jr. & girlfriend, Sherri Epperly Case, and Robert & Melissa Aker; her uncles and aunts, Hunter & Danielle Gamble, and Devin Aker & fiancé, Morgan Hyler; her cousins, Cutchen & Crewe Gamble, and Hudson Aker; her fur sibling, Luna;  and she was loved by many more family and friends.

Willow touched the lives of those around her with her sweet smile and spunky personality. She had two rare metabolic conditions, PKU and NARS-2 Mitochondrial Disorder. The family hopes to promote and raise awareness of these rare disorders.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9 ^th , at Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA. The family will have visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor J.R. Gilman officiating. There will be no graveside service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Willow to a local Ronald McDonald House Charity or NORD (The National Organization for Rare Disorders).
