Onita Yvonne Spencer Smith, age 89, of Draper, VA passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born June 17, 1936 in Wythe County, daughter of the late William Alexander Spencer and Mary Catherine Arnold Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neal "Baldy" Smith, Sr; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Joe Davis; grandson, Charles Alexander Smith, Jr. and great-grandson, Karter Jenson Clark; three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Frankie Dalton of Draper, Shelia and Reverend Danny Helmondollar of Max Meadows, Lora and David Jones of Mt. Airy, NC, Mary and Tim Crowder of Hope Mills, NC; three sons & daughters-in-law, Robert, Jr. "Buster" and Fran Smith of Kershaw, SC, Charles "Alex" Smith of Max Meadows, Christopher and Mary Smith of Galax; sister, Anna Caviness of Wytheville; twenty-two grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend John Cooper and Reverend Danny Helmondollar officiating.

Burial will follow in Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
