Zola Patton McMillan, age 87, of Speedwell, VA passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born July 20, 1929 in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Early and Margie Kincer Patton and was preceded in death by her husband, Marco McMillan; great granddaughter, Shayla McMillan and sister, Mary Gaye Sheffey.  She is survived by her daughter, Davina Wingate of Crockett, VA; two sons, Dennis McMillan of Crockett, VA and Daryl McMillan of Speedwell, VA; seven grandchildren, Kim, David, Daniel, James, Joseph, Denise and Christina; eight great grandchildren, Luke, Adam, Austin, Jeremiah, Brooke, Brady, Alia and Emily; three sisters, Mildred Johnson of Crockett, VA, Maxine Walters of Kernersville, NC and Carolyn Hale of Little Creek, VA; brother, Ray Patton of Fort Chiswell, VA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Doug Stuart officiating. Interment will follow at the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
