David William Morehead, Sr. age 77, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born September 7, 1943 in Pulaski, the son of the late Frank Morehead and Essie Blackwell Fagan.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Morehead; two sons, David William Morehead, Jr. of Floyd, VA, Joe and Shana Morehead of Dublin, VA; daughter, Kelli Morehead-Hopkins and Mike of Virginia Beach, VA; two step-sons, Wade and Missy Whisman of Grahams Forge, VA, Mark and Nat Whisman of Crestview, FL; three step-daughters, Rachel Roope of Pulaski, Denna Dalton of Austinville, VA and Jennifer Whisman of Crestview, FL; nine grandchildren, Morgan, Braylin, Anthony, Adam, Sarah, Hannah, Tiger, John Lewis and Thomas; great-grandchild, Ever; two brothers, Buddy Morehead, Jim and Wanda Morehead, both of Newbern, VA. Several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Delissa Hammons officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before service time at the funeral home.
