Fred Lincoln Bowers, age 88 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away January 24, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents Myrtle H. and Paul L. Bowers.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Daphne Hall Bowers and brotherly cousin, C. Rodney Bowers of Naples, FL and the Cedar Springs Community.  Extended family includes Evelyn Shockley of Stamford, Conn., Linda and Talmadge Funk of Elkton, MD, Nadean Hoyle of Prince George, VA, Mary and Roy Funk,  Martha Simmons  Alice and R.J. Johnston all of Wytheville, VA.

Visitation will be Saturday January 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lindsey Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow there at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27.  Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
