Stephen G. Smith, 63, of Mineral, Va. passed away March 18, 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Robert & Estell Lambert Smith. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Teressa Smith, daughter Sarah Grady, sister Susan Katz, nephews, nieces, devoted friends and extended family. Stephen was a retired master plumber of 40 years from Washington D.C. Local 5. He was a man of many hats and could perform any task set before him. He enjoyed classic car restoration, making things out of anything he had lying around, target shooting and working around the farm. Stephen will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Graveside Burial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery, 806 Smith Hollow Road Wytheville Virginia 24382, March 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is handling the local arrangements.
