William Hugh Dillon, age 72, of Bland, VA passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. He was born November 7, 1946, the son of the late Walter Lee Dillon, Jr. and Janie Ruth Edwards Dillon. He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, David Allen Dillon. William attended Bluefield State where he played football. He was a Veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp where he served in the Vietnam War and earned two Purple Heart Medals.  He coached Little League Baseball.   William attended the Bland Community Church. He was an honorable man. Those who knew him understood that he stood for God and family.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sue Baldwin Dillon; daughter, Melissa Ann Dillon-Graham; son, Stephen Lee Dillon and wife Stephanie of Rocky Gap, VA; five grandchildren, special grandson, Dillon Harrison Graham, Kattie Dillon, Samantha Dillon, Emily Dillon and Rachael Dillon; and one great-granddaughter, Heidi Graham; brother, Timothy Scott Dillon and wife Tami of New Market, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Bland Community Church with Pastor Leroy Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Highland Bland Funeral Chapel, Bland, VA is serving the Dillon family.
